Tame that Tummy Trouble

At some point many parents go through times with their baby has gas pains or is constantly spitting up after their feedings. Its challenging but is a part of baby's development. Here are some ideas to help you with a baby who may have these common tummy troubles....
1. Keep her upright after feeding for at least 30 minutes. You can use a bouncy chair or use the time to cuddle with your baby.
2. You can reduce gas bubbles by burping your baby 2-3 times during a feeding. If your bottle feeding try to use the bottles that are designed to reduce gas and spit ups.
3. Make sure you are clear on the difference between spit up and vomiting. Vomiting is a more forceful expelling of liquid and can be caused by a bacteria or a virus.
4. If you are breastfeeding watch what you are eating. Stay away from anything spicy, garlic, etc. Try to eat plain food. You can also keep a food diary so you can try to narrow down exactly what is causing the tummy troubles.

Call the Doc if....
1. Baby has signs of dehydration. Those signs include dry, parched mouth, sunken in soft spot, she is not urinating as often.
2. If the baby is inconsolable or if the baby refuses to eat for you
